ABOUT SKOG
Cryptic for some of you, but very easy to learn. SKOG: Spelled the same way in Swedish and Norwegian, means forest. It was an obvious choice for an event coming from our passion – adventuring in the Scandinavian backcountry. Our SKOG™ was developed as a natural fusion between love of the outdoors and the passion for riding with an engine between your legs. SKOG™ is where we meet to celebrate man and machine, friendship and the wonders of nature.
WHERE WE STAY
We camp at Kyrkekvarn Naturcamping. Beautifully located by the scenic Tidan river valley, 30 kilometers northwest of Jönköping in the outdoor paradise of Mullsjö.
In camp you will find great spots to pitch your tent og hang your hammock. You can hide in the bushes or settle by the river. There are cabins to rent, yet we consider it a downgrade. The forest is completely safe and everybody is your friend. If you decide to ignore our advice and rent a cabin, you need to contact Kyrkekvarn Tourism directly. Cabin rentals are NOT included in the event fee.
WHAT WE EAT
Our event is famous for its kitchen. Responsible for our food & beverage program is chef Jonas Thunberg. All our food is prepared over an open fire, creatively composed meals with a flair of fire and smoke. Tasty and energy packed to keep you going after a day standing on the pegs. Logistics are limited, and we regret not being able to cater to special diets, but new for SKOG™25: There will be a vegetarian alternative for dinner.
For breakfast we offer a buffet with a variety of choices. Oatmeal, bred, butter, cheeses, spreads. Scrambled eggs and other treats. Some fruits. For lunch you are welcome to make yourself a sandwich to bring along, or purchase a freeze-dried Real Turmat lunch.
For all meals: Remember to bring your own plate, cup/glass and cutlery. Oh, and we don't do dishes, so clean up your own mess.
HOW WE RIDE
Don't be an idiot – is a SKOG™ mantra that covers most areas but is of critical importance when riding your motorcycle. Follow all rules and regulations posted or communicated before and during the event. Our camp is located in a sensitive area where you will encounter children, families, and groups on horseback. Therefore we impose a strict 30 km/h speed limit on the premises.
When riding in our guided tours – observe all guidelines given by your guide. We use the CORNERMAN system to get the group safe around. Make sure you know what it is about. READ MORE.
Always remember: You are a representative of an endangered species – the rare and mysterious Adventure Rider. With that comes responsibility. No kidding: Anybody disregarding our rules of conduct, direct orders from any of our staff, or endangering own or somebody else's life or safety, will be excluded from the event.
We strive to create the most dynamic groups when riding, and therefore you are asked how your riding skills are when ordering your ticket. Please read more below.

Bears and Others That Goes Bump In The Night
Talk by Hans Andersson, Wildlife Consultant, Hunting Society of Sweden.
Adventure and wild camping in Sweden, Norway and Finland can sometimes expose you to unfamiliar things, like our wildlife.
If you're lucky you might meet one of our magnificent creatures. With extremely few exceptions there will be no drama, just a memory for life.
Deer, fox, hare and moose are not so elusive, while wolf, bear and boar are more rare.
Should you be afraid? Absolutely not – but you need to be respectful and know how to act.
At SKOG™25, you'll meet a wildlife expert answering all your questions about staying safe in the company of wild animals.
BOOT CAMP
To beginners we extend a special welcome to SKOG™. We have all been there. Many years ago or more recently. We remember the uncertainty and feeble attempts at our first stream crossing. Or the fist time we kissed the earth. It is all part of adventure riding and we want you to ride home from SKOG™ with new relevant knowledge and skill. For this purpose we have a special area with lots of room to play. In Boot Camp you’ll find competent and responsible instructors and mentors. They will present you to different challenges according to your skill level. Starting with the basics and work your way up – building confidence.
Make sure to book time at the Boot Camp at your arrival.
